  1. Marinate chicken in yogurt and spices.
  2. Rinse and soak basmati rice.
  3. Parboil the rice.
  4. Caramelize onions in ghee/oil.
  5. Cook marinated chicken with onions.
  6. Layer rice and chicken in a pot.
  7. Seal the pot to trap steam.
  8. Slow cook (dum) for 30-40 mins.
  9. Fluff and mix the layers.
  10. Serve hot with raita. Enjoy!
